The Chips&Media WAVE420L is one of the most advanced hardware video codec IP core which supports the next generation HEVC(High Efficiency Video Coding) standard, also known as H.265. also WAVE420L is very small size H.265/HEVC hardware codec IP that is capable of encoding H.265/HEVC Main Profile and decoding H.265/HEVC Main Profile

A single WAVE420L is able to encode and/or decode any resolution up to 8192x4096. It guarantees real-time performance for encoding and decoding from FHD to UHD(4K) with 30fps or 60fps based on its sophisticated, latency tolerant architecture. To meet our SoC customers needs, WAVE420L is highly optimized for memory bandwidth loading, excellent power management and superior quality with 3DNR

This WAVE420L is targeted for middle to low-end mobile application processor (AP), IP cameras/sports camcorders and other SoCs with small-sized area and low-cost system requirements.
