Overview

The connected world is wireless. PCS is a new company dedicated to providing connectivity IC products for the Internet of Things and Machine to Machine communication. PCS offers complete silicon-proven IC product and IP solutions that can drop-in to your system or IC design and meet your time-to-market goals. PCS' products and IP are architected to consume the lowest power, meet you package requirements and silicon footprint, and built-in self-test. The public Wi-Fi Hotspot market is expected to grow to 432 million by 2020. There are many more private networks. These Hotspots will form the basis of new HaLow built-ins that can interconnect applications.

Benefits

HaLow is a new industry standard (IEEE 802.11ah) promoted by the Wi-Fi Alliance. HaLow is targeted directly at IOT and M2M RF communication. The new HaLow standard runs in the Sub-GHz range and is able to transmit and receive at longer distances. A single Access Point can support over 8000 devices. HaLow is designed with low power operation in mind. The low power options, in standby and transmission, allow HaLow to operate under battery power for as much as 10 years in some applications. This support for low power operation and the large number of supported devices makes HaLow a perfect fit for IOT and M2M applications.
