Java-based platforms certified for IoT

A California-based software company is offering a certified and supported open source development platform which it says will allow Java to become a standard platform for internet of things designs.

Zulu Embedded is an open source Java SE compliant development platform from Azul Systems.

Zulu Embedded is based on OpenJDK, the Java Community project where Java is developed and evolved.

Azul?s intention is to allow developers to use a Java SE standards compliant package which can be used with specific operating systems, 32- or 64-bit processor architecture and Java versions 6, 7, or 8.
