LoRa module extends range of IoT wireless links

Amiho Technology has launched a smart metering module which supports the LoRa wireless interface standard for extended range.

The AM094 combines LoRa and Wireless Meter-Bus capability at 868MHz to create long range radio to connect devices.

With a 17.8 * 20.3mm footprint, the module comes pre-loaded with the firm's LoRa and Wireless Meter-Bus, EN13757 compliant, software stack and includes AES128 encryption.

The AM094 module's LoRa interface has a range of up to 15km, with receive sensitivity to -137dBm.

With 14dBm maximum power output, link budget is up to 151dB.
