Active bridge improves PoE-based IoT performance

Enhancements to Fairchild Semiconductor's GreenBridge active bridge, quad MOSFET technology have produced the FDMQ8205. It is the first member of a series for security cameras, wireless access points, LED lighting applications and any devices powered via PoE (power over Ethernet).

According to the company, designers can lower operating temperature, increase efficiency and reduce the size of devices by taking advantage of what is claimed to be best-in-class RDSON performance and small form factor.
