Arm to Discuss the Coming Era of Fog Computing in IoT During Keynote at IoT Evolution Expo

Trumbull, CT , Nov. 16, 2017 – TMC and Crossfire Media announced Rhonda Dirvin, director of Marketing at Arm, and Board Director at the OpenFog Consortium, will present a keynote at IoT Evolution Conference and Expo being held January 22-25, 2018 at Disney's Contemporary Hotel in Orlando, Florida. IoT Evolution Expo is the leading educational and networking forum for the enterprise looking to understand how to develop and implement IoT solutions that drive measurable results and business transformation. The event will feature a robust exhibit floor, powerful keynotes, case studies, live demos, unique sessions, special events, networking opportunities and much more. Dirvin will deliver her keynote on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 9:30 AM.

"Fog computing addresses inherent challenges in IoT deployments that neither cloud nor edge gateways can resolve alone, such as latency, network bandwidth and security," said Dirvin. "Fog enables advanced use cases, including autonomous vehicles, drones, real-time production control systems, and 5G. While relatively new, fog is not only important for IoT – it's vital for efficient, scalable IoT solutions."

Dirvin's keynote will focus on the role of fog computing in IoT and describe how it works with both edge gateways and end devices. She will discuss how fog enables advanced use cases that require ultra-low latency, additional security and high network bandwidth. Fog-enabled IoT use cases across a range of industries will also be highlighted.
