We aim to be one of the best innovation centers worldwide, providing novel applications and solutions to our customers by developing and applying our technology platforms in micro-, nano- and information technologies, thus adding value to the results of research. Our research activities - financed by public funds - combined with the research results of our academic partners, help us to develop our technology platforms for the benefit of our industrial customers and our start-ups. We are aware that collaborating with other innovation centers and research entities is crucial. With this in mind, we have built up a strong national and international network. We work together with CEA/L├ęti in France, the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft (Mikroelektronische Allianz) in Germany and VTT in Finland. Together with these institutions, CSEM created HTA (Heterogeneous Technology Alliance), to prepare for the next generation of technology. Our research strategy is based on extensive market research, and helps us to develop technologies today which will be needed in the future. While research activities remain one of the cornerstones of CSEM, we never lose sight of the overriding importance of our customers - it is they who provide us with invaluable insights into global markets.    
3 Solutions

icyflex - Ultra low power, high-performance DSP / controller RISC core
Based on the long standing expertise in ultra low power processors three architectures of processors are available. All can be configured at run time to add new addressing modes and new instructions to reduce the number of cycles for individual algorithms.

icyflex-V Low-power 32-bit RISC-V processor
The icyflex-V 32-bit processor core is based on the RV32IMC open-instruction set architecture (ISA) defined by the RISC-V foundation and, as such, is supported by standard state-of-the-art development tools (both open-source and proprietary).

IcyTRX - Ultra low-power 2.4 GHz transceiver for Bluetooth Low Energy 5
The icyTRX ultra-low-power RF transceiver is designed to meet standards such as Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth Smart), 802.15.4 PHY Layer (e.g. ZigBee), and proprietary standards with data-rates from 62.5 kBit/s up to 4 Mbit/s.
