Overview

SiWave develops innovative solutions for the embedded market. We have been in business since 2003 and have successfully delivered a number of projects targeting different industry standards. We sell our products to system integrators looking for a full-turn key solution as well as to large OEM, IDM, silicon vendors, etc. looking to develop their own solution based on our innovative IP. The current product is a complete end-to-end display emulation/testing platform that includes a fully programmable pattern generator and an image capture. The platform is used to emulate different display sizes which can be prohibitive when targeting a wide range of displays or when experimenting with display sizes that are easily sourceable. Additional add-ons can be purchased to interface with different input/output video standards (e.g. HDMI/DVI, OpenLDI, miniLVDS, etc.), calculate CRC for both input and output images, display telltales icons, etc.

Benefits

Testing embedded displays can be cost prohibitive if targeting a wide range of display resolutions and different IO standards (e.g. OpenLDI and mini-LVDS and HDMI). Also, some odd size displays are either too expensive and/or very difficult to source. Siwave Display Emulation/Testing Platform allows designers to seamlessly and very cost effectively target any display size or display sizes that are not available on the market yet. The same platform can be used to generate an input video stream and capture an output video stream. Add-ons can be purchased to help designers perform further testing on the quality of the video streams (e.g. CRC). The icon display add-on can be used by software developers and test engineers to display any size icon dynamically on the screen. The icon display module supports variable source images sizes (e.g. 1bpp, 2bpp, etc.).
