Biography :
| Dr. Dominique THOMAS, Director Funded Programs France, STMicroelectronics, within the Europe and France Public Affairs department. After a PhD in Solid State Physics, from Paris Orsay University and 2 years as visiting scholar at Stanford University, Dr. Thomas has held several R&D management positions in the industry, in Optronics (Thales) or environmental sensing (Envea). He joined ST in 1999. He had been Director of the "Centre Commun de Microelectronique de Crolles" a joint venture between CEA and ST, which hosted seminal work on FDSOI. He helped define and defend the Minalogic competitive cluster (2005/2006) and the IRT Nanoelec project (2010/2011) for the Grenoble ecosystem. At European level, he also participated to or led core groups of industrials shaping both the IPCEIs (important project of common European interest) MicroElectronics and MicroElectronics and Communication Technologies. |
