Ternary and Tunnelling based approach for highly bit-dense and energy-efficient on-chip SRAM
KyungRok Kim - Ternell
Biography :
| Tristan (TongRyung) Choi is Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Ternell, a semiconductor IP startup pioneering Ternary SRAM (T-SRAM) technology for next-generation AI SoC and AI accelerator applications. He has over 25 years of cross-industry leadership experience spanning semiconductors, robotics, semiconductor processing materials, and global manufacturing operations. Leveraging with 13 year management consulting experience, he stepped up to senior executive roles including CTO and EVP at SKC (SK Group), Managing Director at Globalized manufacturing company, Head of Operations at Bear Robotics (a U.S.-based AI robotics startup), and Chief Business Officer at Rebellions, a Korean AI accelerator company. His background spans a broad spectrum of technology-driven domains – from semiconductor processing materials, power semiconductors, and electronic components, to factory automation. At Ternell, Tristan is focusing on driving the commercialization of T-SRAM IP – a ternary bitcell-based on-chip memory technology that delivers higher information density and superior power efficiency, particularly optimized for KV cache in LLM inference workloads. He holds a Master of Science (M.S.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Materials Science from Seoul National University, Korea. |
