TSMC allocates $6bn for 2nm capacity in Taiwan

Some of the money will go towards TSMC's second site for 2nm production which is under construction in Kaohsiung.

www.shunlongwei.com/, Aug. 12, 2023 – The company's initial volume production on the 2nm process will be in Hsinchu starting in 2025, with the first 1000 test wafers run in Hsinchu this year. The third TSMC site for 2nm production could be in Taichung where the company is said to be looking for a site. TSMC's first customers for 2nm are said to be Apple and Nvidia.
