Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Valeo announced an expanded partnership to bring smarter and safer cars to the global market.

Their goal is to offer auto manufacturers a ready-to-use system for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD). This solution combines Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Ride computing hardware and software with Valeo’s expertise in sensors, parking software, and vehicle control units.

Together, they provide a pre-integrated platform featuring:

• Vehicle features like hands-free driving, automated parking, driver and passenger monitoring
• Built-in systems designed to earn 5-star safety ratings from New Car Assessment Programs (NCAP)

The platform also supports a wide variety of vehicle designs—from basic models to high-end, software-defined architectures. The Snapdragon Ride Flex chip even combines ADAS and infotainment into one efficient system.
