This solution offers the smallest footprint on the market, making it highly optimized for size and ideal for low-footprint end-station applications. The OPEN Alliance is a global industry initiative committed to establishing Ethernet as the universal standard for in-vehicle networks. By complying with this standard, Comcores’ MACsec IP empowers automotive suppliers to develop robust, interoperable Ethernet solutions for safety-critical and high-bandwidth applications. 

Comcores’ MACsec IP is specifically designed for low-footprint end-station applications, which is essential for implementing this technology on advanced high-nanometer nodes. Comcores’ MACsec IP has been designed in alignment with the OPEN Alliance Automotive MACsec Specification. Key features include:

• Highly size optimized for low-footprint applications
• Support for point-to-point MACsec, as defined in IEEE 802.1AE-2018
• Multiple secure channels on both transmit (TX) and receive (RX)
• Use of implicit SCI instead of embedding it in the SecTAG
• Integrity protection without confidentiality
• Intelligent packet forwarding to the uncontrolled port based on MAC DA, Ethertype, and VLAN-Tag
