Selecting five promising fabless companies to prioritize MPW process access and provide up to 200 million won in production funding

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 14th a “Everyone’s Challenge Fabless” program in partnership with three domestic foundries—Samsung Electronics, SK Key Foundry, and DB HiTek—to help promising fabless startups with prototype process (MPW).

This program was designed to address production bottlenecks for fabless companies and secure global competitiveness by supporting the MPW (Multi-Project Wafer) method, which places multiple project chip design layouts on a single wafer to develop products for prototyping or research purposes. “Everyone’s Challenge” is a business that promotes open innovation between innovative startups in core strategic areas and leading companies. In the fabless segment, this is the third series following the AI transformation (AX) and defense sectors.
