Arm Reveals AGI Server CPU Architecture at Hot Chips, Targeting Agentic AI Workloads

Aug. 31, 2026 –

Arm detailed its AGI data center CPU at Hot Chips 2026, revealing a dual-chiplet design built on TSMC's N3P process with 64, 128, or 136 Neoverse V3 cores and a 300W TDP. Unlike AMD, Intel, and Nvidia, which separate compute and I/O chiplets, Arm placed both on the same die to achieve sub-100ns DRAM latency and up to 844.8 GB/s of memory bandwidth via DDR5-8800. Each chiplet contains 70 cores with four redundant for yield, connected by a 2 TB/s UCIe link. The processor features 96 PCIe 6.0 lanes with CXL 3.0 support and a sophisticated memory subsystem with Chipkill protection and QoS controls. Arm positions the CPU for agentic AI workloads but has not published conventional benchmarks, relying instead on a 2X per-rack performance estimate versus x86 platforms. Commercial shipments remain on track for late 2026.
