Synopsys Integrates Chip-to-System Design After Ansys Acquisition

Company expands beyond memory into system semiconductors in South Korea

Synopsys is expanding its semiconductor design platform following its acquisition of Ansys, targeting further growth in South Korea’s semiconductor market.
Shankar Krishnamoorthy, chief product development officer (CPDO) at Synopsys, told a press conference at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam on Sept. 8 that the company will “accelerate technological innovation in South Korea through agentic artificial intelligence (AI), multiphysics-based design and a silicon-to-systems integrated engineering approach.”
